Hipwear was co-founded in the year 2000 by award winning video producer Jay McCarthy. The orginal site was built in about a month, and has since gone through several site redesigns, has served several million unique users, and has filled thousands of orders for customers worldwide. The premise behind Hipwear.com is simple: an upscale shopping environment, selling glamorous attire to body postive women all over the globe. The goal is to provide a unique, feminine, and safe shopping experience that's sexy, but not pornographic. We do not sell adult toys, we avoid nudity unless it's the only way to tastefully show a product, and we only carry quality manufacturers that stand behind their items.

Hipwear Brands and Expansion
Hipwear, Inc. includes both web properties and a retail store, and is planning expansion into multiple retail outlets in strategic locations across the Country. New web properties that compliment Hipwear.com will be introduced in early 2006, adding targeted clothing products, health and beauty aides, and a modeling community portal to the Hipwear portfolio of products.

Order Management
Behind the scenes Hipwear's e-commerce brands are in the process of migrating to a very sophisticated order management system that keeps tracks of inventory, customer communications, and order fulfillment. This system will automate many of the manual task Hipwear employees perform to handle orders, and allow customers an accurate real time view of the state of their order .

Security
Hipwear works very hard to make sure your credit card number and person information is secure and hacker safe. Our commitment to security means we want your shopping experience at Hipwear to be as safe or safer than shopping at your local retail store. How do we accomplish this?
Hipwear uses encypted pages for the online checkout process and we do not store your credit numbers on our web site. In fact, each order older than 30 days purges the credit card number out of our secure servers. This means you will have to enter your credit card number for each order, and if a refund is due, a Hipwear representative may notify you asking for your credit card number.
